Structures Division

The Structures Research Division is responsible for conducting research and studies on:

  • The stability and behavior of structures subjected to various natural forces
  • Fire safety of structures
  • Durability and protection of structures
  • Pathology of constructions
  • Rehabilitation of structures

The Structures Division includes four (04) research teams:

  • Concrete Structures Team
  • Steel and Composite Structures Team
  • Masonry Structures Team
  • Structure Pathology and Rehabilitation Team

Materials Division

The Materials Research Division is responsible for conducting research and studies on:

  • Construction materials and their alloys
  • Materials and components
  • Physico-chemistry of materials
  • Material dynamics
  • Secondary building elements

The Materials Division includes four (04) research teams:

  • Materials Team
  • Products and Components Team
  • Physico-Chemistry Team
  • Material Dynamics Team

Building Physics and Environment Division

The Building Physics and Environment Research Division is responsible for conducting research and studies on:

  • Building thermal performance
  • Building acoustics
  • Energy systems
  • Aeraulics (airflow and ventilation)
  • Environment and habitat

The Building Physics and Environment Division includes four (04) research teams:

  • Building Thermal Team
  • Building Acoustics Team
  • Energy Systems Team
  • Aeraulics Team

Geotechnical Division

The Geotechnical Research Division is responsible for conducting research and studies on:

  • Geotechnical hazards
  • Soils and foundations
  • Aggressive environments
  • Soil-structure interaction

The Geotechnical Division includes four (04) research teams:

  • Aggressive Environments Team
  • Environment and Habitat Team
  • Soils and Foundations Team
  • Geotechnical Hazards Team
