What is CNERIB ?
CNERIB, the acronym for the National Center for Integrated Studies and Research in Building, is a Public Establishment of a Scientific and Technological nature (EPST) under the supervision of the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning, the City, and Land Development (MHUVAT). CNERIB is entrusted with missions of studies and research in the field of building and construction in its broad sense.
Do you have a branch in another Wilaya ?
No. CNERIB is a national center that has only one headquarters, located in Cité El Mokrani, Souidania, 16097, Algiers, Algeria.

Is CNERIB currently recruiting ?
The most recent recruitment campaign took place in 2025. Future recruitment announcements will be published in due time on the Center’s website, the public service recruitment website (link), as well as on social media.
What type of profiles do you recruit ?
The Center employs Research Staff (permanent) specialized in the fields of Materials, Structures, Building Physics and Environment, and Geotechnics. It also employs Research Support Staff, such as Administrators, Scientific and Technical Information Officers, Engineers/Senior Technicians/Technicians supporting research in various fields and specialties.

I would like to purchase CNERIB’s DTR / Technical Guides. How can I proceed ?
Please consult the “Services” section, then “Purchase Documentation” on our website. Several options are available: purchase at the Center, online purchase with electronic payment, and delivery to the 69 wilayas of the country.
Do you sell DTR / Technical Guides in electronic (PDF) format ?
Current offers concern only paper versions. You will be informed as soon as a digital version of our documentation becomes available.
I would like to purchase a DTR BE / DTR BC / the Algerian Seismic Code (RPA). How can I proceed ?
DTR BE / DTR BC, including the Algerian Seismic Code (RPA:2024), are DTRs published by the National Center for Applied Research in Earthquake Engineering (CGS). Please consult their website (link).

What is a Technical Appraisal ? A CNERIB conformity certification ?
A Technical Appraisal is a technical document regarding the fitness for use and in-service behavior of a construction system, product, or new process used in building. This appraisal is issued to an applicant after a file has been reviewed by a researcher who has conducted all necessary tests and gathered all available evaluation elements before presenting them to the Specialized Group responsible for issuing the appraisal.
Is product (A) subject to the Technical Appraisal procedure ?
Currently, the products/processes concerned by Technical Appraisal include construction systems, waterproofing, insulation and joint products, thermal insulation systems and building equipment, products and components, plastic piping systems, and window and glazing components. I am a student at University (X). How can I do an internship at CNERIB ?
To benefit from an internship of a specified duration at CNERIB, submit a request addressed to the Director of the Center, issued by your university.
Can I carry out tests on (Y) as part of my undergraduate/postgraduate thesis ?
CNERIB offers university students the opportunity to carry out tests free of charge as part of their undergraduate or postgraduate work. Please contact the Center with a request issued by your university and addressed to the Director. A list of available equipment will soon be available on the CNERIB website.

What training programs are scheduled by CNERIB this year ?
Consult the “Services” section, then “Training Programs” on our website. The annual program and a registration form are available.
Can I attend training sessions via videoconference ?
It will soon be possible to attend CNERIB training programs via videoconference.
Do you offer discounted rates for students ?
There is currently no student offer. You will be informed as soon as a discounted offer becomes available.
